ALRD holds training on land governance and digital records

ALRD organized a two-day training in Dhaka to strengthen land governance, digital land records and surveying skills, aiming to improve transparency, accountability and citizen services nationwide.

The Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) organized a two-day training conference on land governance, digital land records and land surveying on January 7 and 8 at the ADSC office in Lalmatia, Mohammadpur, Dhaka.

The training brought together 30 participants from different districts and upazilas across the country with the aim of strengthening transparency in land management, improving the effectiveness of the digital land records system and building capacity in modern land surveying methods.

The program was inaugurated by Roushan Jahan Moni, Deputy Executive Director of ALRD. Syeda Jubaida Siraji, Program Officer, Shafikul Islam, Program Manager and Bijoy Shankar Barua, Program Officer, were also present at the event.

The sessions were conducted by Mohammad Jillur Rahman, who shared practical experiences on enhancing land governance, using digital land record systems and understanding land survey processes.

Organizers said the training would contribute to greater accountability in land administration and help improve citizen services through better use of digital systems and professional skills.
