CPRD–TCW Reporting Fellowship 2025

The Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) and The Climate Watch (TCW) invite story proposals from Bangladeshi journalists focusing on climate change or the 2025 UN Climate Change Conference (COP30).

Story pitches on specific topics but not limited to climate finance, mitigation, adaptation finance, loss and damage, sustainable agriculture and food security, disaster risk reduction, just transition, biodiversity and technology transfer will be given priority.

Final stories, due between November 10 and December 15, 2025, will be published by The Climate Watch in Bangla or English with the acknowledgement: “This story was supported by the CPRD–TCW Story Grant Fellowship.” Awardees may also publish their stories in their own media outlets, provided they include the same acknowledgement.

Fellowship Details

  • The fellowship will award eight reporting grants focusing on Bangladesh and COP30 negotiations.
  • Each fellowship offers a grant of Tk20,000, mentorship, and participation in a half-day workshop in Dhaka on inclusive storytelling.
  • A reporter may pitch no more than two stories.
  • The deadline for proposal submission is October 28, 2025.
  • Stories must be submitted between November 10 and December 15, 2025.
  • Selected reporters may submit their stories in either Bangla or English, at their convenience.
