Bangladesh and the United Kingdom have pledged to deepen bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, education, development and climate action, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening longstanding ties and mutual engagement.

The commitment was reiterated during a courtesy meeting between British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke and Prime Minister’s Adviser on Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir at the adviser’s office in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Monday, according to a press release.
The two sides reviewed the current state of Bangladesh-UK relations and discussed a range of issues of mutual interest, including trade and investment, development cooperation, education and climate change.
Humayun Kabir highlighted the longstanding and friendly relations between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, expressing optimism that the partnership would deepen further in the coming years.
British High Commissioner Sarah Cooke reaffirmed the UK’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Bangladesh across various sectors and further strengthening bilateral engagement.
Both sides also expressed their determination to maintain close cooperation and advance the longstanding relationship between the two countries.
