Md Ibrahim Khalilullah, Executive Editor of The Climate Watch, and Dr. Shamsher Ali Khan, Head of Health & Climate Change Program at Shakti Foundation, sign the COP31 climate partnership agreement in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The initiative will feature 10 professionally produced video talk shows during COP31, bringing Shakti Foundation representatives into discussions with climate negotiators, policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, women leaders, young climate advocates, and representatives of vulnerable communities.

The partnership aims to connect locally implemented climate solutions in Bangladesh, including urban greening, clean air, renewable energy, women’s empowerment, resilient livelihoods and inclusive climate action, with the broader international climate agenda.

The partnership is scheduled to continue through December 31, 2026, covering preparation before COP31, production and field reporting during the conference, and post-COP publication and impact reporting.

The agreement marks a new stage in collaboration between The Climate Watch and Shakti Foundation, combining climate journalism with community-based experience to bring locally rooted climate solutions and perspectives from Bangladesh into wider global climate discussions.
