RIEL’s latest honours recognise its sustainability agenda, circular economy work and efforts to promote renewable energy and climate action in Bangladesh.
Rancon Infrastructures & Engineering Limited (RIEL), a Bangladeshi infrastructure and engineering company, has received two recognitions at the ESG Excellence Awards Bangladesh 2026, including a Jury Special Award for Excellence in Implementing the Circular Economy.
The awards were presented at a ceremony held in Dhaka on September 5, recognising RIEL’s work in sustainability, renewable sectors and climate action.
RIEL also received recognition in the Excellence in Championing Climate Action (individual) category, acknowledging the company’s leadership in climate action, its long-standing sustainability agenda and its promotion and advocacy of renewable energy in Bangladesh.
The Jury Special Award for Excellence in Implementing the Circular Economy was decided by the jury and reflected the merit of RIEL’s work in sustainability and responsible engineering.
The awards were organised by the UN Global Compact Bangladesh, the local chapter of the United Nations Global Compact, and ESG Institute Bangladesh. Around 150 applicants took part across 20 categories.
The Environment Minister, several ambassadors and UN officials attended the ceremony and presented the awards.
RIEL said the achievements reflected the collective effort of its entire team and the vision of its leadership and Board. The company said it remained committed to advancing sustainability and responsible practices as it moves forward.
