O.CREEDS joins forces with international climate camp 2025 to boost regional youth-led climate action

In a notable move to strengthen regional climate cooperation and empower youth leadership, O. CREEDS Ltd has announced its official partnership with the upcoming International Climate Camp 2025, set to be held from July 4–8 in Nagarkot and Kathmandu, Nepal.

A formal signing ceremony took place on Sunday at the O.CREEDS head office in Dhaka, marking the company’s commitment to advancing climate action through cross-border collaboration.

Present at the event were Engr. Md. Shahadat Hossain, Managing Director of O.CREEDS Ltd.; Prof. Dr. Kamruzzaman Majumder, Chairman of the Center for Atmospheric Pollution Studies (CAPS); and Ahsan Rony, Executive Director of Mission Green Bangladesh.

The International Climate Camp, co-organized by Mission Green Bangladesh, Land Our Future – Nepal, and CAPS, is expected to gather over 100 participants from across South Asia and beyond. The five-day camp will feature interactive workshops, policy dialogues, cultural exchanges, and field visits—all focused on enhancing climate resilience, adaptation strategies, and sustainable solutions.

“At O.CREEDS, we believe in creating long-term impact through innovation and collaboration. Supporting this camp aligns with our vision for a sustainable future driven by the youth,” said Engr. Shahadat, underlining the company’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

Prof. Dr. Majumder highlighted the strategic value of such partnerships: “This partnership strengthens our mission to mobilize climate action at both grassroots and policy levels through inclusive participation and experiential learning.”

Echoing the sentiment, Ahsan Rony expressed optimism about the collaboration: “We are honored to have O.CREEDS onboard. Their support will expand the camp’s impact, particularly in empowering youth from diverse backgrounds.”

The initiative is backed by prestigious academic and policy institutions including C3ER, BRAC University, Tribhuvan University, and Kathmandu University, with strategic support from the Nepal Tourism Board and Bangladesh Tourism Board.

The partnership is seen as a timely and promising development in the lead-up to the camp, reflecting a growing momentum for youth-driven climate solutions in the region.
