The Centre for Policy Dialogue is inviting undergraduate and graduate students nationwide to take part in Climate Week 2026 through competitions focused on climate knowledge, policy solutions and practical advocacy skills.
The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a Bangladesh-based policy research organisation, has opened registration for two national student competitions to be held during Climate Week 2026, inviting undergraduate and graduate students from universities across Bangladesh to participate.
The competitions are the Climate Olympiad, an individual contest, and the Climate Policy Case Competition Presentation titled “Three Minutes to Rethink Climate Solutions”, a team-based event.
According to the announcement, the Climate Olympiad will assess participants’ knowledge of climate science, global and regional climate governance, adaptation and mitigation economics, technological innovations and Bangladesh-specific case studies. The competition will test participants’ knowledge and understanding of key climate-related concepts, policies, challenges and developments at the global, regional and national levels.
The Climate Policy Case Competition Presentation will require teams of three members to develop actionable solutions grounded in local realities and inspired by global best practices before presenting their proposals to a panel of experts and policymakers.
A specific case for the first round will be provided to registered participants after the registration deadline, while further details about both competitions will be shared later with selected participants, the announcement said.
Registration will remain open until September 1, 2026.
The organisers said the competitions aim to provide students with a national platform to compete, learn from climate experts and policymakers, develop skills in climate policy solutions and advocacy, compete for awards and receive certificates of participation.
