CPRD-CW Reporting Fellowship 2024

The Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) and The Climate Watch (CW) are offering eight Tk20,000 grants for Bangladeshi journalists covering COP29. Topics include finance, mitigation, adaptation, and sustainable agriculture. Apply with up to two pitches by October 24, 2024. Final stories, due November 8–30, will be published by The Climate Watch in Bangla or English.

The Center for Participatory Research and Development (CPRD) and The Climate Watch (CW) are inviting story proposals from Bangladeshi journalists covering the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference (COP29).

The fellowship will award eight reporting grants focusing on Bangladesh and COP29 negotiations.

Story pitches on specific topics but not limited to finance, mitigation, adaptation finance, loss and damage, sustainable agriculture & food security, disaster risk reduction, just transition and technology transfer will be given priority.

  • The fellowship offers a grant of Tk20,000, mentorship and a workshop on inclusive storytelling.
  • A reporter can pitch no more than two stories.
  • The deadline to submit proposals is October 24, 2024.
  • The story will be published by The Climate Watch.
  • Story must be submitted from November 8 to November 30, 2024.
  • The selected reporters can submit the story in both Bangla and English at their convenience.
