Thirty factories from 16 sectors in Bangladesh will receive the Green Factory Award 2025 for excellence in eco-friendly practices. The awards recognize efforts in sustainability, energy efficiency, and workplace standards across diverse industries, supporting greener industrial growth nationwide.
In a celebration of industrial sustainability and environmental excellence, 30 Bangladeshi companies across 16 key sectors have been selected for the prestigious Green Factory Award 2025.
According to Ministry of Industries (MOI) The recognition honors factories that have demonstrated outstanding performance in eco-friendly practices, energy efficiency, waste management, and workplace standards.
This year’s winners span a wide range of industries—from garments and textiles to ship-building, electronics, and pharmaceuticals—showcasing Bangladesh’s growing commitment to greener industrial development.
Garment and textile sectors lead the way
According to the list from MOI Notably, the garments and textiles industries feature prominently on the list. Factories such as Dhaka Textile Limited, Ecotex Limited, Fakir Fashion, Tarasima Apparels, Auko Tex, and Square Fashions are being recognized for their strides in green manufacturing.
In the textile category, companies like Akij Textile, Pioneer Denim, KDS Textile Mills, and Four H Dyeing and Printing have earned accolades for their sustainable operations.
Green champions from diverse industries
The awards also highlight excellence across various other sectors:
- Electronics: Transcom Electronics, Fair Electronics, and Walton Hi-Tech Industries
- Food and Beverages: Akij Food & Beverage and Habiganj Agro Limited
- Tea: Zerin Tea Garden and Mirzapur Tea Garden
- Automobile: Pragoti Industries
- Leather and Accessories: Suvineers Footwear and Adzi Trims
- Jute: Karupannya Rangpur Limited
- Tiles: X Ceramics
- Cosmetics and Pharma: Remark HB Limited, Square Toiletries, and FKF Pharmaceuticals
- Ship-Breaking and Ship-Building: PHP Ship Breaking & Recycling Industries, KR Ship Recycling Yard, and Khulna Shipyard
- Steel and Cement: BSRM Steels and Seven Circle (Bangladesh) Ltd.
Driving a greener future
The Green Factory Awards are part of the government’s broader initiative to foster environmentally responsible industrialization, reduce emissions, and uphold international compliance and safety standards.
Winners will be officially honored at a formal award ceremony on Tuesday, June 24, at the China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka. The event is expected to bring together government leaders, industry stakeholders, and sustainability advocates to applaud the awardees’ contributions to building a cleaner, greener Bangladesh.
